My two moods

I remember quite a few years ago when black and pink became a thing and became the background for oriental flair. Now, it would be called Asian influence if we’re to be politically correct. I loved the combination of colors and had decided to redo my small bathroom in my equally small apartment in the colors of the time. I think my Mom must have liked the combination too because she went crazy and bought me all new bath towels in black and pink and helped me redecorate. I still love that combination of colors because, above all, I think they make for an elegant look. I tried to capture that elegance in today’s post.

My new skin obsession are skins from [averosa]. This month you can find the [averosa] Max skin at the Anthem event which I wore in my previous post. For the post, I’m wearing the Flavia skin which I do like better on me for this elegant look.

I’m probably gonna get blasted for saying this but what the heck is going on with the price of hair in Second Life these days? Please don’t think that I don’t realize or recognize the amount of work that goes into making anything in Second Life, but still I have to vent about this issue.  I adore this hair I’m wearing in today’s post and I went to the main store to buy more but the prices were crazy-ridiculous, to put it bluntly.  I’ve never, ever complained about the price of anything in SL before but now we can’t just buy hair. There’s the basic hair for a nice chunk of change and then if you want different styles of the same hair, the cost will be close to $1000L for a hairstyle that we used to pay $350L for. As I recall, Doux started this trend and now others have followed suit.  Again, I know that hair has come a long way in SL and people should be compensated for their hard work. However, I too work hard for my money and I will just have to be more discriminatory as to where I spend it in SL.
