Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know where to go shopping
(My post today is a little wordy, so grab a cup of coffee or your fave drink and then delve in.)
I love wearing easy, breezy clothing and by that I mean that the clothing is so well made that you put it on and you look effortlessly stylish. I’ve been a fan of that type of clothing for many years and MEB Clothing by MariaElena Barbosa started it all for me in SL. Some of her clothing is a little dated now but fourteen years ago it was da bomb and was so close to real life clothing, I was hooked from the first time I saw a female avatar wearing an MEB outfit. Most of the time all I saw were gowns, biker wear or things an escort would wear in SL, so seeing someone dress like they would in RL was a jaw dropping moment for me at the time.
Coco Designs was another clothier I fell in love with. Designer Cocoro Lemon continues to make clothing that’s stylish and so easy to wear whether you want to get dressed up or down. (Between you and me, though, I dislike her current main store in SL. Shopping isn’t easy there with the aisles being too narrow and having to maneuver your camera all the time. I really liked her previous store setup much better.)

Along came MOLICHINO and designer Aurelia Chauveau, for which I ended up becoming closely associated with in the SL fashion community. I love, love, love her creations for all of the same reasons as my other favorites. Aurelia also continues to create clothing, hair and accessories to make us look good in SL and thank heavens for that.
Now we have a new (sort of) player in the clothing game and that is Ginza along with a new way to shop their creations. Click on the link to find out more! I purchased the debut collection when it was released earlier this month and so far I’m impressed with the quality and stylishness of the items. I was so pleased to see that the color of pockets of the cropped pants could not only be changed but that they were lined to begin with. So many designers leave the inside of their clothing blank and it just looks weird and incomplete to me. I do have one complaint about the Ginza collection and it has to do with their HUDs. It’s difficult to tell which part of the clothing you’re changing the color of, since none of the buttons are labeled. Still, I look forward to more offerings that Ginza will be releasing in the future.
(There are so many additional SL designers I love that I just can’t include them all in this post or you’d be here forever!)

NOTE: I ended up uploading this blog post later than expected, so some of the items may not be at the events listed below.
